Johan’s Joe, the leading Swedish culinary destination nestled in the heart of West Palm Beach, is thrilled to invite the public to their Second Annual Swedish Julbord event series, bringing the cherished traditions of a Swedish Christmas buffet to South Florida.
Julbord, translating to Christmas Table, stands as one of Sweden’s most significant annual traditions, and is typically experienced at home on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, but served in hundreds of restaurants all over Sweden, replacing their ordinary menu for the entire month of December. Drawing inspiration from the warmth and conviviality of a traditional Swedish Christmas celebration, Johan’s Joe’s Julbord promises a festive and authentic culinary experience suitable for guests of all ages. Swedish Chef Linda brings her culinary expertise all the way from Stockholm, Sweden, so that attendees can immerse themselves in the spirit of the season with a meticulously curated array of mouthwatering dishes designed to capture the essence of Swedish holiday traditions.
The Julbord events will take place at 6 pm on December 13th, 14th, 15th, 18th, 19th, and 21st at Johan’s Joe Swedish Restaurant: 401 S. Dixie Hwy. #3, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Tickets, priced at $60 per adult and $35 for children under 12, are required for entry and can be purchased through the official website, JohansJoe.com.
Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with warm glogg (mulled wine), festive decorations, and music. The culinary journey will feature a traditional cold table boasting herrings and Christmas ham, followed by a hot table with Swedish delights such as jansson (potato casserole), ribs, and meatballs. Dessert options include a selection of rocky road chocolates, cakes, and saffron buns. Christmas soda, along with beer and wine, will be available for purchase. To complement the culinary delights, Johan’s Joe will transform its cozy ambiance into a winter wonderland, adorned with festive decorations and Scandinavian charm.
